The long-awaited arrival of Black Adam 2022 on HBO Max is finally here following a box office bust. Black Adam follows the character Teth-Adam (Johnson), an ancient Egyptian prince who becomes an all-powerful anti-hero with supernatural abilities.
In Black Adam, Johnson plays Teth-Adam aka Black Adam who is an ancient Egyptian prince cursed with superhuman powers by a mysterious deity. As history’s most powerful wizard seeks to control him and use his powers for evil purposes, Adam must find a way to become something greater than what he was born as — a champion of justice who will protect the innocent and stand up against tyranny and oppression.
The film centers around the ancient hero from Kahndaq who has been granted with superhuman powers. Teth-Adam was once an ordinary mortal, but given his extraordinary abilities by ancient gods, he is now one of the most powerful superheroes in DC Comics’ pantheon of characters.
For millennia, the lost city of Kahndaq has been rumored to exist in some distant corner of the earth. But only recently have archeologists finally unearthed the secrets that lie beneath its sand-covered surface: a powerful sorcerer, known as Black Adam. After nearly 5,000 years of imprisonment within an ancient tomb, Adam is now free – and ready to help save Kahndaq from Intergang, a dangerous crime syndicate intent on exploiting the nation for their own gains.

“Black Adam’s journey”

Black Adam had its world premiere in Mexico City on October 3, 2022, and was theatrically released in the United States on October 21, 2022. The DC Comics anti-hero, Black Adam, has made a huge splash in the box office. Starring Dwayne Johnson as the titular character, the film follows Black Adam’s journey to redemption and his ultimate conflict with Shazam. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, the movie was a success at the box office; it grossed $389 million worldwide against a production budget of $195 230 million.
The new superhero movie Black Adam has become the talk of the town in recent months. Fueled by intense anticipation for its release, many expected it to be a major box-office hit. However, with theaters closed due to the pandemic and streaming platforms continuing to dominate viewership, many were left wondering if Black Adam could break out and become a runaway success. Unfortunately, estimates suggest that it has failed to recoup its total cost after marketing and distribution costs, resulting in some publications labeling it as a box-office flop.

“Cast”

  • Sarah Shahi: as Adrianna is a university professor and resistance fighter from Kahndaq.
  • Marwan Kenzari: as Ishmael Gregor Sabbac is the last descendant of King Ahk-Ton and militant leader of the forces of a mercenary organization.
  • Quintessa Swindell: portraying Maxine Hunkel/Cyclone in the film – a young member of Justice Society who was experimented on and injected with nanobot technology.
  • Bodhi Sabongui: in the highly anticipated Black Adam film as Amon Tomaz.
  • Pierce Brosnan: taking on the role of Kent Nelson, Nelson takes up the mantle of Doctor Fate and joins the Justice Society as a senior member.

“Filming”

Principal photography for the upcoming DC Comics movie Black Adam began on April 10, 2021 at the Trilith Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, filming was to begin in July 2020, fans were even more excited. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its effect on the entertainment industry, production has been delayed
Dwayne Johnson, otherwise known as “The Rock” On June 20, 2021, said that there were three weeks left of filming, and on July 15 he revealed that all of his scenes had been completed. The production team bounced back quickly and resumed filming without Johnson for several weeks at locations in Los Angeles. As the cast and crew worked diligently on the project, they were able to wrap up shooting by August 15th.
