Washington State University graduate student, arrested Friday in his home state of Pennsylvania, is suspected to be the perpetrator of last month’s killing of four University of Idaho students in their off-campus home. Bryan Christopher Kohberger, aged 28, was taken into custody in Pennsylvania, which is over 2,500 miles (4,020km) away from the place of the crime.

A Washington State University graduate directory has revealed that Kohberger is a student in the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology. CNN was able to view the directory earlier Friday, before it was removed.
The university confirmed in a Friday evening statement that Kohberger had completed his first semester as a PhD student in the criminal justice program in December.
Moscow Police Chief James Fry Said
At a news conference, Chief James Fry of the Moscow Police Department announced that an Elantra had been located in connection with the case, but the weapon used in the killings had yet to be found. He declined to disclose any other details about the investigation, including when the suspect had become the primary focus or if he was acquainted with the four students who were killed.
The murders of the young students has left our community in shock and it’s impossible to bring them back,” said Fry. “Nonetheless, we are confident that justice will be served in the court of law. Fry added that the case is complex and has taken a long time to build a clear picture of what has happened.
“This is only the beginning,” he asserted. “We urge the public to continue to call the tip line with any information they have.”
